Why we lead with plastic and steel
A timber shed still looks right in a British garden, and we stock plenty. Timber needs treating once a year to stay sound.
Plastic and steel skip that job. Double-wall HDPE will not rot or need painting. Galvanised, powder-coated steel resists rust and washes down with a hose. That is why the plastic and metal ranges sit at the front of the site.
How we pick the range
- Panel thickness first. Double-wall HDPE and steel reinforcement carry real weight. Thin single-skin plastic flexes.
- Floors included. Many plastic models arrive with a built-in floor. Lifetime sheds have one as standard.
- Locks fitted. Metal sheds, storage boxes and bike stores come lockable, ready for your own padlock.
- Roofs that clear the door. We check that rain runs off away from the threshold, not onto it.
- Light where you need it. Skylight roof panels come as standard across the Lifetime range.
- Sizes made easy. The plastic range breaks down into 6x4, 8x6 and 10x8 groups so sizing takes seconds.
Start with the base
This is the advice we give more than any other. A shed lasts as long as the base under it.
Lay something flat and level before the shed arrives. Paving slabs work. A timber frame works. Fastfit EcoBase grids click together over a weed membrane and take up to 300 tonnes per square metre. Skip the base and the doors stop closing square within a season.
Delivery and returns
Delivery is free on every order to UK mainland addresses. Each product page shows the lead time for that item.
Deliveries are kerbside. Moving goods any further is at the driver's discretion on the day. You then have 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging.
